Bulk Actions & Trash
Selecting multiple contacts, bulk delete, soft delete, and permanent deletion.
Bulk Actions & Trash
Selecting Contacts
Use the checkboxes on the left side of the contacts table to select individual contacts, or use the header checkbox to select all contacts on the current page.
Bulk Delete
After selecting contacts, click Delete Selected to move them all to the trash. Each contact is checked for delete permission individually, so you may only be able to delete contacts you have access to.
Soft Delete (Trash)
When you delete a contact, it is soft deleted — moved to the trash rather than permanently removed. The contact and all its data are preserved but hidden from the main list.
Viewing Trashed Contacts
Toggle the Show Trashed filter on the Contacts page to see soft-deleted contacts. Trashed contacts appear with a visual indicator showing they are in the trash.
Restoring Contacts
From the trash view, click Restore on any contact to move it back to the active list. All field values, custom fields, tags, and relationships are preserved.
Permanent Deletion
From the trash view, click Force Delete to permanently remove a contact. This action cannot be undone. The contact and all associated custom field values are permanently erased.
What Happens to Related Data
When a contact is soft deleted, their documents remain in the system (documents are independent records). If you permanently delete a contact, documents that reference them will keep their data but the contact link will be removed.
