Portal Dashboard & Features

Portal Login

Portal users log in through the standard login page. After authentication, the system detects their portal membership and loads the portal interface instead of the staff interface.

Dashboard Overview

The portal dashboard shows the contact a summary of their activity:

  • Total documents — all documents assigned to this contact
  • Pending — documents that need the contact’s action (sent or viewed status with unsigned signatures)
  • Signed — documents the contact has signed
  • Total paid — sum of all successful payments
  • Total outstanding — sum of unpaid amounts

The dashboard also shows the 5 most recent pending documents and 5 most recent completed documents.

Documents

The documents page shows all documents where the contact is either:

  • The recipient of the document (directly assigned), or
  • A signer on the document (their email matches a signature field)

Contacts can view document details, download PDFs of completed documents, and sign documents that require their signature.

Payments

The payments page shows the contact’s full payment history, including amount, payment method, date, and which document the payment was for. Contacts can also make payments on outstanding invoices directly from the portal.

Profile Settings

Contacts can update their own information:

  • Change their password
  • Set up or manage two-factor authentication

Portal Login Tracking

Each time a portal user logs in, the system records the login. You can see the total login count and last login date on the contact’s detail page in the Portal Access section.
